In the integration of the Turkish economy with the rapidly developing world economy, ıt will be able to make predictions about the short and long-term developments that it needs, monitor the possible activities in various sectors of the economy on the internationnal platform and determine their short and long-term strategies, it is aimed to train staff who can take part in decision-making bodies.
In general, economics education is aimed at examining the decisions of individuals and societies and the causes, effects and effectiveness of these decisions in meeting human needs with limited resources. Therefore, economists examine people's deciisons such as how long to work, what product to buy, how much to save, how much of their savings to invest.
On the other hand, economics also analyzes the forces and trends that affect the entire economy as a whole,such as the increase in average income and the level of rise in prices.
Unemployment and inflation, economic growth, international economic relations and economic policies are important among the topics studied by economics, which allows us to understant the problems in today's societies. Economists should have the knowledge to provide solutions to the problem to be encountered in practice and even to be effective in the deciisons of those who hold the management; They should be able to respond to the needs of the age by improving their analytical thinking and synthesis skills.
Graduates are awarded a Bachelor's Degree and the title of "Economicst". Economists are expected to know the history of economics well, to have a good grasp of the background of the theories, to be able to make connections between events, and to have the formation to produce solutions to current and potential problems.
Students who complete the program can pursue graduate studies in fields such as economics, business administraion and political science, or they can work in different research institutions, businesses or higher educations institutions.
